When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder. A murder committed by three teenagers with strange markings in their skin. That's when she realizes 'there's a whole other world hidden within our own'. A world where Shadowhunters, Werewolves, Vampires and Fairies roam free.
City of Bones is the first book in a series called The Mortal Instruments. It is about how Clary (a normal teenage New Yorker) find out she isn't so normal after all. She has a whole past she didn't even know about. Her mother was a Shadowhunter, which means Clary is one too.
But Clary's mother gets kidnapped by her evil ex-husband, Valentine. She will stop at nothing to get her back. Clary along with the boy she develops feelings for , Jace , go searching for her. Becoming acquainted with creatures she never even knew existed, and visiting worlds she never even heard of.
Clary's life has changed forever. For better or for worse? We'll have to wait and see where the series takes us.
I recommend this book to teenage girls or boys. It has romance and action anything any teenager would need. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Friend Ship Week
Last Week was Friendship Week in our school. The whole idea of the week is to promote inclusion and to stop bullying and encourage people to make friends. It is a week for everyone to be nice to be fellow class mates and to make new friends. It especially good for people who have become members of new classes and incoming first years.
At the end of the week our school hosts a funwalk. I do have to say it is slightly more fun than walk. Each year group gets a colour and they have to dress up in that colour. Within our year groups every class has to come up with a dance to incorporate the friendship theme.
TY's colour was yellow. Our class came up with the clever idea to combine taxi's and Will Smith. It was a match made in heaven as far as we were concerned. We danced to jump on it and we used the Will Smith Performance on The Graham Norton show.
We had great fun coming up with the dance and cutting the music. It was a great bonding experience for the whole of class Tabei.

Pearse, Nature and Lots of Photos...
Hey,

The Museum is a building with lots of gardens around it. We watched a video in the building about the Pearse school that was set up in the building. We then had a guided tour of the school building. It was interesting. There was a piano in the great hall. The tour guide let me play it for the rest of the class.
Then we went on a Nature walk. We went around the gardens. Taking lots and lots of pictures of all the plants and trees. We even got one of our Irish teacher hugging a tree ;) As you can see on the left. We also got loads of other photos which you can see on the 'Trip Photos' section of my blog.
The class also took a lot of the lavender home. We also got some footage for a TY video. Which I will put up on the blog soon :)
Then we got on the bus to go back home.
Over all the we had a good day out after our stressful first day of Work Experience yesterday.I'm not in the Photo below by the way.
