Book Review: The City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder. A murder committed by three teenagers with strange markings in their skin. That's when she realizes 'there's a whole other world hidden within our own'. A world where Shadowhunters, Werewolves, Vampires and Fairies roam free.
City of Bones is the first book in a series called The Mortal Instruments. It is about how Clary (a normal teenage New Yorker) find out she isn't so normal after all. She has a whole past she didn't even know about. Her mother was a Shadowhunter, which means Clary is one too.
But Clary's mother gets kidnapped by her evil ex-husband, Valentine. She will stop at nothing to get her back. Clary along with the boy she develops feelings for , Jace , go searching for her. Becoming acquainted with creatures she never even knew existed, and visiting worlds she never even heard of.
Clary's life has changed forever. For better or for worse? We'll have to wait and see where the series takes us.
I recommend this book to teenage girls or boys. It has romance and action anything any teenager would need. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.
Axoxo
Book Review: My Sisters Keeper
I read my 'Sisters Keeper' over the last few weeks in English. Overall I really enjoyed the book (despite all the visable tear stains on the pages).
The book was written in different perspectives, the view of the main character Anna, her sister Kate, her mother Sara and many others.
